I am sure that over the past 2 years we have all experienced some sadness and some anxiety brought about by circumstances beyond our control. We have lost a number of members, friends and colleagues over this period of time but in the New Year we can but hope to see a steady recovery from the constraints placed upon us.
Due to the sad passing of our President, Bob Walton, the LASRA committee elected me as a replacement and you, the members, gave me the honour to take up the post for the next 5 years, I hope to continue the effort made by Bob and, I promise, with the help and support of your committee, to do my best to carry out the role of President of LASRA to the best of my ability.
This time of year is a time for family and loved ones so may I take this opportunity to wish you all a very HAPPY CHRISTMAS and a very Healthy New Year, my wife, Christine, and I will be spending this Christmas at home with just one member of our family but we will do all the normal things that help us celebrate Christmas. We will be spending, with Covid restrictions permitting, New Year in Tenerife for the whole of January (ain’t retirement grand?) and hopefully it will not be too long before we can all meet again in person.
May I also take this opportunity to thank your committee for the support that they have given me over the past 6 months, bless you and God be with you all.
